Itinerary

  1. Day 1

Phuket Marina — Introduction to Sailboat Life

Arrive at Phuket Yacht Haven Marina by 10AM and meet your crew. Begin with boat familiarisation, a full safety briefing, emergency procedures and an introduction to life onboard — basic sailing terminology, boat systems and how to log your nautical miles using an app. Cast off before 1PM and sail to a secluded island anchorage. Take the dinghy ashore for beach games, ice-breaker activities and a short sunset climb (basic fitness required) overlooking the Andaman Sea. Return for kayaking, swimming and a starlit evening on the beach before dinner and an overnight stay at anchorage.

  2. Day 2

Koh Nok → Railay Beach — Navigation, Anchoring, Rock Climbing & Snorkelling

Start the morning by watching the anchor come up and learning how anchoring systems work on a cruising yacht. During the sail to Railay, get introduced to navigation, route planning, weather and onboard decision-making. Explore Railay Beach and climb through its iconic limestone formations to reach the hidden lagoon near Phra Nang Beach (moderate fitness required); optional guided rock climbing is available. After lunch, sail to Chicken Island or Poda Island for snorkelling, swimming and boat dives in crystal-clear water. Relax onboard for a peaceful evening at anchorage.

  3. Day 3

Railay → Koh Yao Noi & Hong Islands — Hoist Sails, Cycling & Kayaking

Get hands-on with sailing as you learn points of sail, hoisting sails, sail trim and steering the yacht under skipper supervision. Reach Koh Yao Noi and explore local villages, rubber plantations and island life by bicycle or scooter. After lunch, sail towards the stunning Hong Islands in Phang Nga Bay. Arriving after the crowds have dispersed, spend the evening kayaking through enchanting caves, secret lagoons and majestic limestone cliffs. Return to the yacht for sunset and an overnight at anchor — far from city and beach lights, perfect for stargazing.

  4. Day 4

Hong Islands → Phuket Marina — Hidden Lagoon & Back to Base

Begin the day early to visit a hidden lagoon during favourable tidal conditions. After breakfast, sail back to Phuket Marina. During the final passage, revisit the sailing concepts covered through the trip, take a turn at the helm and get your log signed by the skipper on the app. Celebrate the journey with the crew before disembarking at the marina by 12 PM.

FAQs

Do I need to know how to swim? What fitness level is required?+

No! Our trips are beginner-friendly and non-swimmers are welcome to join. We ensure that life jackets are worn whenever required. A basic level of fitness is all you need — these trips are designed for almost anyone who loves the sea and wants to experience life on a sailboat.

What about seasickness while sailing?+

Catamarans are among the most stable and luxurious sailing options available. With favourable weather conditions expected, seasickness is not a major concern. Most people adapt quickly to the motion in good weather, and we carry anti-seasickness tablets onboard if needed — though it's quite rare for anyone to feel unwell on our excursions.

What are the safety measures and emergency procedures onboard?+

Safety is our top priority. Each trip begins with a comprehensive safety briefing covering life jackets, onboard movement, emergency protocols and yacht safety equipment. Our certified skipper and crew are well-trained to handle emergencies and adapt to changing weather conditions.

How are the cabin arrangements and sharing options?+

Cabins are generally shared between two participants of the same gender. Couples may choose to stay together. Private cabins may be available on select trips at an additional cost, subject to availability.

How many hours do we sail each day?+

Sailing duration varies with the itinerary and weather, typically 3 to 6 hours per day. There's plenty of time for swimming, island exploration and relaxation. We plan the pace according to the group's vibe — we never miss out on the fun.

How much cash should I bring?+

Carry enough local currency for personal expenses such as meals onshore, marine park fees (300–600 THB), souvenirs, tips, bike rentals (200–400 THB), activities like rock climbing (1,500–1,800 THB), scuba diving (2,900–3,500 THB) and small purchases. Some islands only accept cash, but cards and ATM withdrawals are available on the commercial islands.

What happens if there are weather changes or sailing restrictions?+

Safety is our top priority. If weather, sea state or local regulations affect the planned itinerary, the skipper may modify the route, schedule or destinations to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. The cruising grounds are generally well protected with sheltered anchorages, and the skipper's decision regarding safety and itinerary adjustments is always final.

How many participants are there in each group?+

Our trips are designed to be small and personal — typically 5–8 participants per yacht — for a more intimate, social and enjoyable sailing experience.
